LANCE MARRIOTT

With previous coaching, cheer, and tumbling experience spanning over 18 years in the industry, Lance’s attention to technique, focus on fundamental elements, and drive to succeed has recognized him as a leader in the industry.

As a result, in 2022, Show Me Athletics won JAMfest in Indianapolis and received a bid to All Star Worlds in Orlando.

In 2021, Show Me Athletics won Cheersport Atlanta, NCA Nationals Dallas, Regional Summit and D2 Summit Orlando—the first gym in Missouri to win all four titles in one season, an incredible feat for such a young program.

Previously, Lance was the tumbling director for Prodigy All-Stars in Houston, Texas, where they won a world title in senior small coed, a world title in IOC5, two Summit titles and multiple NCA National titles, and the tumbling director at Cypress Academy of Gymnastics, an affiliate of Prodigy All-Stars that trained Olympic hopefuls Jonathan Horton, Chris Brooks, and Colin Van Wicklen.

DANIEL PERSING

With over 35 years of retail and management experience, Daniel’s role as a co owner and co founder of Show Me Athletics includes client relations, social media, marketing, billing, and operations.

His role as a concierge at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton, Kansas City earned him national recognition for outstanding customer service.

Past positions also included being Assistant General Manager with Burberry and Sales Support Lead and Retail Sales with AT&T.

TRICIA BLANKENSHIP

Tricia’s cheerleading career experience began on the coed team at Missouri State University for four years after graduating from Eldon High School in Eldon MO.

During that time, she worked as a Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) staffer teaching numerous camps and clinics all over Missouri.

Her 17 year high school coaching career began shortly after college, bringing home two state titles and transferred over to all star cheerleading four years ago.

She currently holds a position on the Executive Board for the Missouri Cheerleading Coaches Association.

KIRBEY BAKER

Coming in from Kansas City, Kirbey was a competitive dancer for over 12 years before making the switch to competitive cheerleading in high school, and later, went on to cheer at Kansas State University. She graduated with a degree in early childhood development and has taught preschool for the past four years.

With one year of coaching all star cheerleading, Kirbey is excited to be a part of our growing program and is thrilled to bring her passion for the sport to the Lake of the Ozarks!

SAM GROVES

Born and raised in Eldon, Missouri, Sam began tumbling at the age of five with coach Carole Marriott. She continued to cheer throughout middle school and high school, and graduated in 2005. 

She has constantly remained involved in the world of cheer and tumbling ever since, and has volunteered her time in multiple programs in the area as an honorary cheer mom for over ten years, and brings to us her experience to our growing recreational program.
